Automation Actions - "Do Nothing" Option

I would love an action option to “Do Nothing”. When a Check If condition is used with a Do Nothing action attached, it acts as an added filter on the trigger, removing qualified tasks from the flow and reducing processing demands.

Can you describe the situations where you need this? I ask because:

  • Asana product team asks for this in order to help them understand and prioritize, and
  • In this particular case, I wonder if a simpler solution could address your underlying need, like providing missing “When” or “Check if” conditions or options on existing ones.
