Is there a way for us to set a rule to automatically set a PROJECT’S start date to the day that it is created? I have project templates set to go straight to a portfolio with a due date, but no start date.
It’s not an issue to manually add a start date upon creating, but would love to see a whole project’s timeline automatically in the my portfolio, not just tasks. I think it’s a little silly that we aren’t able to automate this?

Hi @Jadam_701 , if you are creating a project from a template, and that template contains tasks with relative due dates, then the resulting instantiated project will have a start date equal to the earliest task and the instantiated project’s due date will be the latest task in the project template.
During the project creating process, when using a template, there is a step where it asks you what is the project’s due date or start date, depending on what relative date rule you have set within the project template editor (click on any task’s due date field and click on date rule)
