Asana usage in mainland China

Hello everyone,

I would like to hear from anyone who has already used Asana in mainland China.

If you have experience, could you share how it worked in practice?

Did you face any stability or performance issues?
Was it usable for daily project management?

Thank you.

Hey there, @Herve_Lyaudet great question. I’ve seen a few teams access Asana from mainland China and it generally works, but performance can vary a lot by region, ISP, and time of day. In practice, most core features like creating tasks, comments, and checking My Tasks are usable daily, while heavier pages and large-file actions can feel slower.

Would love to hear from others using Asana in mainland China.

What’s been your day-to-day experience and any tweaks that made it smoother?

My answer is a little unusual.
I travel from Japan to Dalian, China about four times a year for a week at a time.
My internet environment consists of the following three patterns:

    1. A mobile Wi-Fi device rented at a Japanese airport for overseas use, with a plan that allows Facebook access.
    1. An overseas add-on option on my regular Japanese smartphone, usable even at Wi-Fi access points.
    1. Free hotel Wi-Fi, but limited to certain hotels and very unstable connection.

My experience using Asana is something like this:

    1. Accessing via a computer browser: Normal
    1. Accessing via a smartphone app: Normal
In all cases, it’s not much different from using it in Japan.
