Asana, show me your BUTs šŸ‘

I didn’t find any comments on this; apologies if it’s here and I missed it.

As far as I can find, there’s not a way to view all projects using a certain task type (or all tasks of a certain task type).

We can view what projects use what custom fields, forms, and rules, but not task types.

@Becky_Holston1 knows, but for the benefit of others, you can vote for that here:

Thanks,

Larry

You can include a Form within a Project, BUT if the Project is generated from a Project Template that already contains the Form, you cannot configure the Form’s permissions through the template. For my particular use case - I previously used a Form embedded within a Project Template to support a secondary project intake process (quality testing which happens mid way), but encountered this limitation when I needed to restrict access to Organisation only.

While the Project itself can be configured with permissions that make it organisation only, those permissions do not automatically help with Form configuration, most pertinently the replies.

I may need to add this as product feedback to link  as far as I can see from my projects, this is still a limitation (and was confirmed with Asana as a limitation around 5 months ago)

Also, compelling title  :peach:  @Bastien_Siebman

Asana AI is nice BUT it needs you to list every single project individually before it can access it.

Example:

Me: ā€œCan you view all of the projects in the Marketing portfolio and give me a summary of upcoming tasks?ā€

AI: ā€œI can’t view those. Can you tell me which projects?ā€

Hi @Kristin_Martin , that’s strange. Have you tried just at-mentioning the portfolio?
And do you mean AI Studio rules or the AI Chat bot, or an AI Teammate?
