What version number of Asana do these updates apply to? How does the versioning work between web/mac app/ios app? Are they all rolled out concurrently? Thanks
Hi @Chase_Franklin1, thanks for your question. For the Asana web app, updates are rolled out continuously, so users always have access to the latest features as soon as they’re released. Similar to the web app, the desktop app is updated regularly, but they do have specific version numbers. You should be prompted to update your desktop app when a new version is available, but if you are not prompted, you can check and download the latest version here.
Most functionalities we introduce apply to all users regardless of platform, but there are some platform-specific features that may be found in one platform but not in others.
As an iOS user, you can review our iOS release notes and latest app version on the Apple Store page. Android users can check the Google Play Store for the latest updates and app version.I hope this helps!
I get these every month and it seems none of them ever apply to the plan level I have. Is there a way to know, perhaps a symbol or something, that lets you know which plan the new feature is available?
This would be very valuable as i feel like I start to try to test the new feature, and inevitably, it’s not available on my plan level. I just want to know what is available to me and what is not, both on the release notes and in the help guides.
In a future update, would it be possible to have a ranking or override system for rules? Or exceptions to a rule?
I have a rule that has if due date is approaching, due today, move to __ section. However, I would like this to be exempt for rules that I have recurring daily.
Additionally, could a rule be created so that if the task is from a particular project, I could automate it to go to a particular section in my tasks?
Hi @Bret_Kobel, thank you so much for sharing your feedback! I completely understand your point.
While I can’t guarantee that this will be possible to implement, I’ve passed your suggestion along to the team responsible for the Asana Release Notes. I really appreciate you bringing this up!
Hi @Kylie_Zajdel, welcome to the Asana Forum. Unfortunately, neither of these options is currently possible. I’d recommend sharing your requests in our Product Feedback category so other users can upvote them. Just be sure to create separate topics for each specific request!
When I create a note on a project, I am the only person who can see it. Is that working as intended? If so, there should be included in the notes documentation.
