Hi, some users who are assignees in subtasks , can’t go back to parent tasks . The message the see is “Private to members of its projects and people who can see its parent task” although they are members of these projects and 3 days ago they had access without facing any issue.
Hi @i.lagou, sorry to hear that your colleagues are running into issues. I recommend checking if the same behavior occurs in the web app to determine if it’s a bug or a permission issue. If it happens in the web app as well, it’s likely a permission issue, and our Support team can help you resolve it. You can reach out to Support via this link.
@Vanessa_N, I’m experiencing this too just as of the past couple of days in Android, and not in the web app. I reported just now using the in-app shake to report a bug (maybe in Asana Android beta only) but I’m hoping you can expedite this since not being able to see the parent task ever in a subtask is a very serious problem for many of us.
Here’s what it looks like:
The screenshot is of a subtask of task Parent 1 but note there’s no “Parent 1 >” at the top like there is in web version and used to be on mobile until days ago.
Here’s the same subtask in the web version:
Thank you,
Larry
Agree this has been recently broken. It makes the mobile app completely unusable in our org since people tend to share subtask links.
Hi everyone, thanks for the additional information. I’ve escalated this report to our Mobile team and will get back to you once I have updates!
Hi it’s a mobile app issue. Now the most of our users facing this. I hope you find soon a solution . It’s the third problem we are dealing with the last 2 months.
I have access in every team and project. This is a subtask but i cannot go to parent and this message appears.
Any updates? Still exists the problem
I know this is being worked on by developers, but nothing more yet…
Thanks,
Larry
Our Developers are still working on this case, but I’ll be sure to share updates as soon as they become available!
Hi everyone, our developers have identified a solution for the bug. They plan to deploy this fix in our upcoming release, scheduled for the next couple of weeks. I’ll update you with a precise ETA as soon as I have it. Thanks for your patience.
This has been fixed for me for me starting several days ago.
Thanks,
Larry
Thanks for confirming, @lpb! Our Mobile team is gradually rolling out this update with the fix, and it should be available to 100% of users by July 11th. I’ll close this topic for now
We still have the problem… all of the users
Hi @i.lagou, the update is being rolled out gradually, so it may take a little more time to reach everyone, but you should receive it soon!
I’m happy to hear you’re working on it as it is a huge hurdle for efficient management on the mobile app. I’m used to plan my team’s work on the transit in the morning and it’s been a problem.
Hi, the problem for most of our users is solved. But we have the same problem that we had 1 month ago again . We have to download images, so we can see them . 3 months and we always have issues and we can’t work like this . Every update , one problem solved and a new problem come up. Please do something so we can work properly
Hi @i.lagou, sorry to hear that another issue is back. We’ve tested here on different devices our end and could not replicate the bug with attachments. If you reinstall the app and the issue persists, please reach out to our Support team and mention the app version in your request. They will be able to further troubleshoot this for you.
