Asana export to CSV and sync to Google Sheets - gaps in data

Hi,

My portfolio Sync to Google Sheet has missing data in the ‘Live source data’ sheet.

  • The same thing happens when I sync with a new (and empty) Google Sheet
  • The same thing happens when I export to CSV
  • The same thing happens on other Portfolios in our workspace.

Are you seeing this?

A couple of quick questions:

  1. Are the gaps tied to specific columns only (like custom fields, Status, Owners) or truly random rows? If it’s fields, confirm those fields are added to all projects in the portfolio, or are portfolio-level fields.

  2. Permissions: make sure you have access to every project in the portfolio. If you don’t, some data can come through blank.

As a quick test, could you create a small portfolio with 1–2 projects and try exporting it to CSV or syncing it to a new Google Sheet? If the same data is missing there, that would help determine whether this is a broader issue.

Include the portfolio URL, a screenshot like the one you shared, example rows that should appear but don’t, and the time you ran the export/sync. I’ve flagged this on my side as well.
