Asana doesn't recognize proper (Premium) subscription level

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
I have associated a pre-existing personal (free) account with a more recently created professional Asana account with a Premium membership. When I toggle to my professional Asana account after viewing my personal account, I no longer have access Premium functionality (e.g., Milestones). (I am not logging out when I go between accounts.) This has happened on multiple occasions.

Steps to reproduce:
View personal Asana account and then return to professional account (by clicking photo in upper right corner; not logging out/in again). When I return, no Premium functions are available

Browser version:
Chrome Version 72.0.3626.121 (Official Build) (64-bit)

HI @Donna_Rosenstiel and apologies for the issue here!

I would advise you to reach out directly to our support team following these steps as we would need to take a close look at your account to help you resolve this.

When reaching out to support, could you kindly provide the info below to help them investigate and resolve this as soon as possible?

  • URL of a task in your premium space for which you don’t have access to premium features
  • A screenshot of this same task
  • The URL of the discussion so you don’t have to re-explain everything

Before reaching out to support, I would recommend also checking the following: I’ve seen quite a few people with a premium team (as opposed to a premium organization) having the same issue than you; in most cases, the task they were working on was not associated with a project and therefore not linked to their premium team. So if you haven’t yet, make sure you work on a task within your premium team!

Hope this helps

Hi, Marie - Thanks very much for your help with this. Indeed, my team has a premium subs but not my org, and when I added the task to a project, the issue resolved (i.e., I was able to mark the task as a Milestone). I didn’t realize that tasks created within my workspace would not be associated with my premium team unless I associated the task with a project in my workspace. In the future I’ll be sure to make a project assignment first, before attempting to designate a task as a milestone or indicate task dependencies. Thanks again, Donna

No worries at all @Donna_Rosenstiel, I’m glad we worked it out together  Don’t hesitate to reach out again if you have any questions, there is always someone to help in the Forum!
