🔎 Asana + Amazon Q index: power AI workflows at scale with cross-app data

Hi everyone! :waving_hand:

The Asana + Amazon Q index integration is officially here! :tada:

Transform how your human + AI teams work with the power of cross-app data:

  • Connect apps in minutes: leverage cross-app data quickly and confidently with one-time setup and secure permissions
  • Build integrated workflows: design AI-powered workflows that unify teams and apps—no code required
  • Scale AI company-wide: access real-time data and insights where your teams already work

This integration enhances the power of AI Studio and Smart Chat, seamlessly connecting your Asana work with critical information scattered throughout your organization. In doing so, it unlocks key use cases like project intake, campaign management, and product launches—transforming how teams work and deliver results.

It’s available on Starter, Advanced, Enterprise, and Enterprise+ plans.
:warning: Please note: Amazon Q index is purchased separately through AWS.

:speech_balloon: Q&A:

Q: How do I set up the Asana + Amazon Q index integration?
A: Super admins can set up the integration through the Asana admin console. Visit the Help Center for step-by-step instructions.

Don’t have Amazon Q index? Start by purchasing it through AWS.

Q: What data can Amazon Q index access?
A: Amazon Q index only accesses data you’re authorized to view in your connected applications, like Google Drive, SharePoint, Gmail, Outlook, and Salesforce. It fully respects all existing permissions and access controls.

A: Smart Chat and AI Studio can now use relevant information from your connected apps, providing more comprehensive and context-aware AI assistance directly within Asana.

Really appreciate these use cases — they’re spot on for real-world teams. For e-commerce especially, managing campaign timelines and product launches smoothly is critical, and a solid intake process can make or break execution. Would love to hear how others are applying this in their day-to-day workflows! Great for someone who’s in eCommerce.

Is there an ETA on the Azure version of this?

Hi @Sako_Kassabian, sorry for the delay. It’s not in the roadmap at the moment, but if anything changes, we’ll share the news here in the Forum. Feel free to create a new request for this in our English Forum > Product Feedback category. This way, if the feature is added to our roadmap in the future, we’ll update the Forum thread where you can receive a notification

Hello, the current documentation seems outdated, when creating the Data Accessor in AWS it now requires the “External ID”, I can’t find this information in the Asana Admin Panel.
