I wanted to ask when using AI project summaries, whether the project status for On track, Off track etc can be set by Asana AI rather than dictated by the human?
The reason is because the purpose of the AI summary is that the AI will have a lot more insights into different nuances and comment updates to our task to lift roadblocks or potential blockers vs human overview of completed/upcoming tasks at a high level glance without drilling into each task individually. So the project status selected by the human might vary if they had all the insights from the AI.
I’m uncertain how much the project status selected by the human affects or creates a bias for the AI project summary since the status is selected first before a summary is generated.
Would love to hear if anybody else has other workarounds for this.
So previously this has to be set via a human (asana’s human centric AI approach). This is because there are so many different reasons a project could be on track/off track that might not be able to be determined by Asana. (Just because all tasks are completed on time, doesn’t mean there are not external factors making it At Risk).
I have found that if given the right guidance in building the report it will not affect the generated report writing one way or another.
However if you use rules at portfolio level you can get some triggers to trigger a status

In our workflow we are automating meeting note tasks, new tasks and task comment updates primarily with AI through recorded meetings so I was hopeful this level of detail would be informative for Asana AI to accurately select a project status , but I appreciate the human centric Ai use, makes sense !
