Approval Issue

Hi Asana Community,

I’m currently working on a project in Asana that requires approval from an assigned approver. However, I’m running into a couple of issues:

  1. Email Notification Issue: When I send an approval request via email, the approver receives the notification. However, when they click on the “Approve,” “Needs Changes,” or “Reject” options in the email, they are redirected to an error page. Has anyone encountered this issue before? How can I resolve this so that the approver can submit their response without encountering an error?
  2. Missing Approval Field in Task: When the approver opens the Asana task, I cannot see a dedicated field or section where they can directly choose to approve, request changes, or reject the task. Is there a way to add a dropdown field or something similar in Asana to streamline the approval process?

Any guidance or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Without knowing what the error says it’s hard to advise. Can you share a screenshot of said error?

At the top of the tas, you should be able to select an approval option:

From the list view you should also be able to select an approval option by clicking the stamp icon in front of the name.

On the approvers view, that options at the top of the task is not available.

I can only see that option when I am the project admin. Should the approver be the project admin to have that approval option?

If they are the assignee, they should have this option.

I am beginning to suspect it may be related to how you send the approval request.
