An option to categorize all your "starred" list in the Nav pane

I would like to be able to group all my starred items in the navigation pane into different categories. For example, I have several users’ task lists starred along with projects and portfolios and they are all grouped together with no option to separate them. It would be greatly beneficial to be able to group them under categories so I am not stuck in an endless scroll in the Nav pane.

@Tatiana_Torres,

Don’t forget to click the title to scroll to the top and vote by clicking the Vote button at the top-left; that’s the quickest and most effective way to express your support for a request.

Thanks,

Larry

I create a Portfolio for these projects to Star instead, then I have a “subnav” in my menu grouped as I would like them. Also can help to give team members a view that groups like-projects together and standardize Asana menus for a team.

Hi @Tatiana_Torres,

I’ve actually stopped using star for this. Instead, I created a personal team and use the team page to organize everything. It does take one extra click to get to the team page, but once you’re there, you can group and organize everything however you’d like!

I even keep sections for forms and external links so that everything is readily available.

I’m curious, @Tatiana_Torres, whether you have the new sidebar or not.. :thinking:
I have a feeling you may have the old one which has only one Starred category and that is why you are asking for gropuing it into categories.

The new sidebar splits all starred items into various ‘modes’ such as Projects and Portfolios separate to Teams for example.
