In the new task details pane I am unable to add a subtask to a project unless it is already in a project. The Project section doesn’t show up to add it through clicking the “Add to Project”, the Add to Project option in the triple dot menu isn’t greyed out but just closes the menu when clicked and Tab+P no longer triggers any response either. All three of these actions work if the subtask is already in a project.
I was able to replicate what you describe.

Hey,
I’ve successful been adding subtasks to projects until today.
I usually click int the subtask, navigate to the three dots at the top, clock add to project, then the other projects usually pop up or tab P.
As of today, nothing pops up. My project list doesn’t appear.
My colleagues can all still carry out this action on the projects we work on.
I’ve tried logging in and out of Asana, logging off my laptop and back on again and don’t seem to be able to get it working.
I can still add tasks to alternative projects, however…
Any thoughts?

Are you able to type in the name of the project that you are looking for? I have found that sometimes nothing populates for me to scroll, but if I start typing I am able the project that way.
If not, I suggest contacting support.

My peer is unable to book tasks onto a project board (never had any technical issues until just this week) and tasks’ themselves look different than before. This is only impacting one person in our organization (of four). This peer is a project admin on most, if not all, the board that we use. As a temporary fix, I am adding the tasks to the board. Now, we notice these task have all of our custom fields listed under each project the task has been added to (if its on two boards, our custom fields list appear twice). Our hope it to get her to be able to book tasks on projects again and to revert the task to look like the rest of the team’s.
Has anyone else experienced this? Were you able to fix it? Any tips will be helpful in us troubleshooting this. Thank you!
