It’s disheartening to see that mobile time tracking requests as far back as five years with no movement or update from the company. My team is currently trying out Asana and this may just be a deal breaker.
It’s crazy that you still can’t type text into this field in the mobile app. This cannot be that hard to fix/add to the app. Our team ends up just skipping putting actual time on a task because they cannot do it from the mobile app on the go.
Asana really needs to step up their game in the time-tracking area. I would also love an integration with the timely app.

Any chance this is in the works? Our team really needs tracking on mobile in app. Anyone have any recommendations for time tracking apps that are per project? I really only need a start/ stop feature that is available on mobile.
Some clients I have that use Asana in the field have been requesting this too. The Actual Time field is old enough that it’d be great to see some parity support across app experiences.
Please add the ability to time track in the mobile app! This is an essential feature and is keeping my team from using the mobile app.

I’m sure there’s been discussion but Asana has not marked this topic “considered.” They’ll update the thread when they have something to announce.
Hey there! I work as the Project Manager at a creative studio. We use the “actual time” custom field to track our designer’s hours. One of our designers does a lot of field work and primarily uses the app. She let me know that you can’t fill in the actual time field on the mobile app - which seems odd to me. The error says “This field is not editable. This field cannot be edited on mobile.”
I’d love to know if i’m missing something, and if not, this would be an excellent feature to have. Thanks y’all!

It is really crazy and frustrating to me that this feature isn’t live yet.
My mobile app is when I need it the MOST.
When I’m at work and on my computer, I am clocked in and don’t need this tracking. When I’m working remotely, THAT’S when I need it on my phone. Please please please move this up on the priority list!
PLEASE add this! I’m getting far less accurate reports because users aren’t able to update their time entries from mobile. We’re not even asking for this on a custom field, it’s the built in Asana field for estimated and actual time! Kinda crazy to think this has been open for 2.5 years without implementation but looking forward to the day it’s fixed!!
Time entry on mobile is such an important feature. I am supposed to roll out time tracking in Asana to my entire team, and I know I’m not going to get actual buy-in because of this lack of functionality. I am going to spend my time reminding them to go access Asana on another device, and dealing with the inaccurate results, instead of just telling them to add their time when they check off tasks in the app.
