Is there any way to add a variable to a task description without going through all the clicks like in the screenshot attached? Like a copy and paste? It gets tedious when you have to add multiple variables to different tasks.
@Esteban_Giannini I don’t think so. Trying (and failing) to copy/paste mentioned variables confirms this for me.
I’d love this as a feature request complete with autocomplete.
Syntax something like this: {task.name}
Shall I move this thread to Product Feedback so you and others can vote for it?
Yes, being able to copy and paste them or have that kind of syntax would be amazing. It would make them more easily accessible.
@Esteban_Giannini Don’t forget to vote for it yourself
@Vanessa_N - Hey there! I just wanted to see if there was any workarounds for copying and pasting variables in rules. Maybe someone in the Asana team knows. Thanks!
Hi @Esteban_Giannini, thanks for asking. Unfortunately, there isn’t a workaround available at the moment, but it’s good that you’ve created this feature request thread. Hopefully, our Product team can implement this ability in a future update.
I have been dreaming about this function! I need to make location specific variables under one rule and there can be up to 30 locations! Killer to go through the process every time when I want the exact same variables.
