Any update on “Week number” implementation. Most project updates are provided on the basis of weeks at Amazon and this would help considerably.
Hi all,
Please note that we plan to test this feature via an A/B test starting today. Note that with this test we will be experimenting with week numbers in both the timeline and gantt views:
Please note that since this is an A/B test, only 50% of our users will see this feature for the time being. Once the test is over, I’ll update this thread to let you know if we plan to roll it out to all customers.
amazing! really looking forward to it. coming from Denmark, everything happens in week numbers!
Hi @Marie
Will this feature also be added in the calendar view?
Hi @Frederik_Riel, welcome to our community! Week number in calendar view is not on our roadmap yet, but we are tracking this feature request in a separate topic. You can follow the progress and add your vote here. ![]()
I believe different regions use different weeknumbers.
- What method is being used? And can it be adjusted?
- In the Netherlands our weeks start on Monday, not Sunday. Will this be an option?
@Jan-Rienk , you can adjust this from your Settings > Display tab and set first day of the week to Monday. That will reflect in all calendars, Gantt views and Workloads and Capacity planning, throughout your Asana.
Same need here…
Will it be possible to set the week numbers to start from a different date? E.g. to align with our fiscal year - so Week 1 commences on the first Monday of February (03/02/25).
Hi @Rebecca_Grant1 , I’ve tried this in the past; even if you change your fiscal year settings in the Admin Console (Settings>Domain settings>Time periods) it unfortunately does not affect the week numbers in the Timeline or Gantt views.
(I also don’t work for Asana so we can’t be sure whether that is on their roadmap)
You may want to create a new topic in the Product Feedback category so you and other can vote on this.
@Forum-team , I think we should close this thread and move to Product Launches …?
Done
Thanks @Richard_Sather!
