Voice-to-Task Workflow: Converting Audio into Summarized Tasks in Asana

Hello everyone,

I’m looking for a way to streamline my workflow by using voice recordings to capture activities and automatically convert them into summarized tasks in Asana.

My goal is something like this:

  • I record an audio describing a task or activity

  • The audio is transcribed into text

  • A summary is generated from that transcription

  • The summary is automatically created as a task (or comment) in Asana

I’m aware that Asana has integrations with tools like Zapier, Make, and others. I’m also considering using transcription tools like Otter.ai or similar AI-based solutions.

Has anyone implemented a workflow like this?
If so:

  • Which tools did you use?

  • How did you set up the automation?

  • Are there any best practices or limitations I should be aware of?

Any guidance, examples, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

Hey @Edilson_Costa1 I feel like you would be able to achieve this with the Claude + Asana integration. Have you looked into that?

Hey @neonrain.club, I hadn’t considered that. I’ll look into it and share feedbak as soon as we’ve tested it on our side. Thank you so much!!!

Welcome, @Edilson_Costa1,

You could also do this all in Asana using the Chat with AI in the top right corner of any page:

I dictated using a mic into that chat and here’s the flow:

Thanks,

Larry
