Toggle between pill and rounded rectangle shapes for field options

I’m also pretty unhappy about this switch. It’s a lot uglier for one…but more importantly, it’s inexplicably a different font size. Looks very sloppy. It’s still truncating the fields, so that’s not even a valid reason (note “Print Materials” being truncated to “Print Ma…”).

I’m really hoping we can get the pill shape back. My team of designers is not happy about this change!

Adding to this frustration. Please at least ADD a way for us to customize the look of the field statuses and font size. This new look is making projects feel very bulky and not as streamlined. Or even if the rectangles were less tall and font size reverted to the original size. It feels like turned the zoom up to 150%.

I figured out why in part, this feels really bad. The font size also changed. The font size for all the other fields in a task is 12px. It is now 14px and doesn’t match the rest. At a minimum, if Asana could at least be consistent and keep the font size the same, that would be good. 12px makes it feel much better.

The new ‘rectangle’ boxes are a larger font size and make projects very bulky feeling when dealing with lots of tasks. Because of the text size it’s cutting off more of my labels making things harder to read in the project as well.

Would love the customization option to be able to change the appearance for those so we could have the ability to keep the classic look instead of this new way.

One of Asana’s unique value propositions was the smooth, pleasant-to-look-at UI. I loved working in Asana.

Now, the new rectangles make projects unaesthetic and very unpleasant to look at. Can we please have the pills back? The UI now feels aggressive and bulky, making Asana look like most other competitors.

And what is this nonsense about displaying more text in the fields? If I want to see more text, I widen the field. That is already sufficient. Also, in practice non of my custom fields have benefited from the change, long options are still cut off as before. So what was the reason for this?

Can we at least have an option to revert?

This is very subjective, like anything related to design, I personally prefer the new look

This isn’t the way Asana works, they keep the “options” to a minimum
