Tasks and Sub-Tasks should share "Compact Mode" setting

Under SettingsDisplayAdvanced Options there is a choice labeled “Enable Compact Mode”. It removes unnecessary whitespace and line spacing between tasks, but they only implemented this in Tasks, not Sub-Tasks when shown beneath a task description, where unnecessary white space is even more distracting and a waste of an even smaller area.

I find no logic in a choice to “Enable Compact Mode” that only applies to 1/2 of the product. So this request is to either make it apply to the other section of tasks (Sub-Tasks below the Description of a Task) or to have two options → “Enable Compact Mode for Tasks” and “Enable Compact Mode for Sub-Tasks”. Which seems ridiculous as I type it, because either you have a Compact Mode for your product or you don’t. Not a “1/2 screen compact mode”

Thanks for you help in upvoting this. As a CTO for nearly two decades, I’m pretty frustrated with the obvious UX/design bug here, especially vis-a-vis the technical simplicity of an implementation like this.
