We have long lists of subtasks. When using click-&-drag to organize these subtasks, the list used to automatically scroll if you hovered near the bottom or top of the list. The auto-scrolling does still work if we’re trying to move tasks up, but it will not scroll to move tasks down. It seems like the Comment box is in the way. So, it thinks I’m trying to move the subtask into the Comment instead of triggering the subtask list to scroll. Is this a bug that’s going to be fixed? It’s very annoying!

Hi @Rebecca_Koehler
Thanks so much for flagging this! I tried it on my end as well, and I agree that the new Comment box design doesn’t seem to be helping here.
I’ve escalated this to our team as a bug, including the issue with the floating Comment box potentially interfering with the downward auto-scrolling. Hopefully this helps get it on their radar for investigation.
Really appreciate you taking the time to report this and provide such helpful context!
I guess this is bug only, i tried in my instance it is working fine for me
@Bhumika_Bihani what instance are you using? I primarily use the online version from a desktop or laptop computer. I’ve tried multiple different browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) and am still getting the same result. The downward auto-scrolling does seem to be working properly on the mobile app, though!
@Irish_Makimura thank you for escalating this to the team as a bug! Maybe this additional context will help them in investigating? I see that there’s an upcoming maintenance scheduled. Fingers-crossed that this will be fixed too.
Hey @Rebecca_Koehler
That time it was working i guess my instance was not updated but today when i rechecked i am facing the same issue.
Maybe till the time this is resolved instead of going inside the task to shuffle the list you directly do it from the list view only.
@Bhumika_Bihani Thanks for the reply! That is a good workaround suggestion, but the challenges there are that the details screen doesn’t always also change the list view (which I’m glad that it doesn’t! I don’t want to be redirected away from My Tasks or Inbox every time I open the details.) and with the way we’re using the subtasks, we’re dragging the completed subtasks to the bottom of the list so the incomplete subtasks are at the top. In the list view, I’d also have to change the filter to include completed tasks in order to click-&-drag there. We’re a law firm and we have our practice areas as the Projects, cases as the Tasks, and specific work for that case as the Subtasks. Here are some pic examples with the list view first and then the details window:
