I enjoy using the status update feature for my projects, because it becomes the source of truth of where projects are.
It is an objective way to reflect where things are, even if they are not progressing well.
In the early stages of the project, many tasks get added, and they are not always complete or aligned to the scope. It would be good to have the ability to add tasks that are not associated with a due date.
I can then add a section in my project update and called it:
New Requirements or New Requests or New Tasks under Review and select from the bunch of tasks added.
This will also be helpful because in many project, I have a section called Project Tasks or Project questions. People can add tasks as questions which get answered in the scoping meeting. I would like to highlight these new ones in the status update.
