Pulling in the Activity section (field change history) at the bottom of a task pane is not currently supported through the Asana Claude MCP integration. The MCP today is primarily focused on task data, project structure, and core fields rather than the audit trail/activity log that lives at the bottom of a task and would be nice to pull the activity section history as well!

Right now, the Claude MCP integration doesn’t pull in the Activity feed. It mainly focuses on task data, project structure, and core fields so the audit trail at the bottom of the task isn’t included today.
A couple of lightweight workarounds that can help:
- If you only need to track a few key fields, you can use Rules to automatically add a comment when those fields change. This gives you a simple, searchable history right on the task.
- You can also copy important updates into a dedicated field (like “Last status change”) so it’s easier to surface in list view or reports.
