Project Schedule settings: add more business day options or more flexibility in choosing custom weekends

The recently added ‘Project settings’ within the Customize button, has a new ‘Work days’ selection which has replaced the former ‘Weekend awareness’ option within the Dependency management options menu.

I have elaborated on this change and its impact of having limited options here.

Perhaps a solution would be to add more selections for work days, such as a ‘Sunday-Thursday’ week option (which is observed in several countries in the GCC and Africa). Or better yet, simply using check boxes (as per the date selection UI when setting recurring tasks on weekdays), as so:

Such an option would allow complete flexibility for every user in any country.

As a first-hand example, in my past career as an Architect, I worked for a contractor on a mega construction project in the GCC where our ‘weekends’ were only one day a week, on Fridays!
