Our ops team uses Asana through ChatGPT to support weekly workload reviews and longer-term workload analysis.
At present, the connector can retrieve the latest status update for a project, but it does not appear to expose earlier status updates. This means an AI assistant can describe the project’s current position but cannot compare successive weekly reports.
A typical use case would be:
“Retrieve all weekly status updates for this project between 9 June and 22 July, then identify recurring reasons for planned work being carried forward.”
Exposing historical updates through the connector would make project summaries, retrospectives, capacity reviews and trend analysis substantially more useful.
