In a recent update, Asana is now converting links automatically into attachments when you post a comment. In our company, we use Sharepoint for all of our shared work and I am quite concerned at how this will impact our workflows. I anticipate our staff may get confused between different links due to how they are displayed (ie they just show the url) and the differences between attached (static) docs and shared documents. Some our of tasks in asana link to multiple documents and I anticipate this will get very cluttered and confusing. I understand you can delete attachments after they are generated but it seems like an additional step to interrupt productivity.
It would be helpful to:
- choose whether Links are displayed as attachments
- have the option to re-name links if they do appear as attachments
- make it clearer in the attachment area which are static attachments vs live (understanding that technically this does exist but it’s quite subtle).
