I have a project plan I imported from Excel. In my List view the tasks and dates are in the correct order, starting with the earliest to latest date. But when I flip into the Timeline view, the tasks are appearing in reverse! They are still the right dates, but should be in reverse order.

Is your list view sorted by due date by any chance? It is not clear from the screenshot.
Either way, you should be able to use the Sort option to sort by date in both List and Timeline views to achieve the preferred order.
Thank you Joanna! Yes, on the timeline view it wasn’t sorted by Due date. I’ve just changed this now and it’s appearing in the correct sequence.
