This is not a good move. The right-click and ‘Create a task’ was a game changer once I had moved our organisation to Asana. I have many conversations, channels and project groups. Manually adding a bot to each and every one has made me rethink our integrations with project planning and tracking. Can we please get a resolution to this quickly?

Hi @Tetsuo_Kawakami, sorry for the delay. I’ve got a reply from our Devs:
If by “tab” you mean the Asana tab in the channel, that uses different permissions from the bot. The Asana tab requires permission to create tabs in Teams (TeamsTab.Create). If you don’t have that permission, someone with the right Teams permissions will need to add it for you.
If you mean the Asana bot/app in the channel, the current setup still requires the bot to be added to that specific channel. If app availability is restricted in your organization, your Teams admin may also need to allow Asana in the Teams admin center.
Here are some references if you need to share with your IT:
- Microsoft Teams and Asana integration
- Enabling permissions for Asana-built and Microsoft 365 integrations
Hope this helps! ![]()
