I think it expires in 2hrs right now. Any way to extend that?

Hi @Chris_Wright,
I did a quick check and looked at the expires_in value from the response of the Token Exchange endpoint – it still shows one hour. That matches what we state in our OAuth documentation. But it’s always good to confirm with @John_Baldo just to be sure.
Oh, I apologise for that. I didn’t realize you meant the MCP token. I believe it would be best to check with John for this one.
I did some additional testing today, and the expires_in value is still 3600 seconds. I tested this in a local environment, so there may be small differences, but I wouldn’t expect the production environment to have a longer expiry.
Based on this, the MCP OAuth token expiry time should be about 1 hour, the same as with the standard Asana OAuth server. If you’d like to confirm, you can check the response directly from the MCP server – its structure matches the standard Token Exchange endpoint response.
As far as I know, there’s no way to extend the expiry, and generally we’d prefer to keep it shorter rather than longer for security reasons.
