Currently, when I choose the progress type for a goal (e.g. I choose the percentage style), I can’t edit the style in any way. When I decide to actually track the progress differently, currently I have to create a new goal and copy all the fields and subgoals over to the new goal just to fix the progress type.
So please:
Add a way to change the progress type after setting it initially somehow, e.g. in the edit details view.
Hi @Cihat_Guenduez, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us!
You are right, once you set a progress metric for a goal you cannot edit it. If you would like to edit a goal’s progress metric we recommend you delete the goal and create a new goal with the new progress metric. I’ve sent your feedback to our product team and I’ll make sure to update this thread as soon as I have any news if we plans to launch this option. Thanks again!
Same feedback here! When mapping out and adding a bunch of goals, it’s really problematic to not be able to edit the metric. Here’s our real world example: I just sketched out a goal with subgoals to track progress toward finding new participants for a nonprofit grant program. After discussion with teammates, we decided to change how we’re measuring the goal, tracking our goal for grant $ distributed instead of just the number of participants. Now I have to delete the whole thing (which I assume will also delete all the subgoals) and rebuild it just to make that change.
another vote to make it changeable. Especially since the value field defaults to the last position in the text field when using the TAB keyboard button. If you’re not careful that is an easy typo in the value field that is locked.
