We’re looking for customers to help shape App Identities, a new way to interact with and manage apps, bots, and AI agent operating in your Asana instance.
Why this matters
Today, integrations often run as fake user accounts or over-broad personal access tokens. That means seats wasted on non-humans, audit trails that point to the wrong actor, and no way to scope what an app can touch. App Actors fixes this with a dedicated identity type for non-human actors, complete with scoped permissions, lifecycle controls, and clean audit logs.
What you’ll get early access to
- App Identity: the option to give a custom app a user-like identity in your domain.
- Explicit access: give apps access to specific projects or teams instead of everything a user can see
- The Identity can see/edit Tasks and Projects.
- Attributed actions to the actual app, not a service account, the owner of the PAT, or the fake domain user.
Who we’re looking for
- Admins or IT leads at orgs running apps with PATs or fake domain users
- Teams that have hit pain with service accounts having too much access or integration audit gaps
- Willing to meet with our product team 2 to 3 times during the beta and share candid feedback
Time commitment
Roughly 2 to 3 hours total over 6 weeks: setup, usage in your real environment, and feedback sessions.
