Is there any way to duplicate a single-option's branch to use in multiple options?

It would be helpful to have the ability to use the same question within multiple branches. For example, we have a question with 5 options. For option 1 I need questions A, B, and C to populate, and for option 2 I need B, C, and D. Right now we have to duplicate the questions and add them to multiple branches but that raises are field count on forms. It also causes issues if there is a multi-select question - if I choose option 1 & 2, there would be duplicates for questions B and C.

It was not so long ago that it became possible to duplicate some form questions; perhaps there’s hope:
