Can Asana be used to track inventory? Specifically, I have a warehouse of furniture items used for staging homes and would like to list inventory and know when items are in use or in the warehouse.

This is exactly what I was looking for. We are an engineering design, outsourced manufacturing and testing company. We use Asana for project management.
However, after 4 years of using Asana, we realize that’s it’s primary focus is Software other “soft” companies such as publishing websites, services etc. We are trying hard to use Asana. It’s been 70 to 80% effective.
Now with a need for Inventory management in our Pilot New Product Testing facility, Instead of buying and moving into a completely new ERP system (SAP) etc we are hoping we can use Asana for basic inventory management with QR codes and stock updates. We don’t have that many items - perhaps 200 to 300 unique items that need to be tracked, maintained and reordered.
Is it possible in Asana or time to say good-bye and move to a robust ERP system built for engineering companies ? (And yes, I have read the link provide but it doesn’t answer our need).
