Regardless if “Disable notifications for tasks starting & due today” switch is on or off, notifications about “due today” tasks still appear. I have reloaded cache in my browser.

Thank you for flagging this. I have tested the feature in a couple of different environments, and could not replicate the problem. This makes me think that it might be something relevant to your specific account alone. I would therefore recommend reaching out to our Support Team to investigate this.
