Exporting Asana Templates

Our company needs to print off templates each year for compliance, but I haven’t seen a way to do this outside of; populating the template into a project, exporting, then deleting all tasks and deleting the project.

Is there a solution to print the template that I am missing?

Welcome, @Alyssa_Witt,

You’re correct; I don’t believe there’s a native (or other) solution for this, so you’re encouraged to add your vote with he purple vote button at the top of this thread.

I would also like to export my templates to document our processes, and found your post as I was also looking for this. Shame not to see any updates here!

Upvoted this one myself. Hope it becomes something that’s available in the future!

Another upvote from me for this functionality.

Hi. If you have a task template in one project that you want to reuse in another project:

  1. Create a new project.
  2. Create a task from the template in the original project.
  3. Add it to the new project and remove it from the original project.
  4. Create a new task template from the task in the new project.

Voila.

We do that for task templates. I was referring to the overall full project templates. I was hoping that instead of populating a project from the template to print, I could get a print of the whole template.
