When sending project status updates, I’d like the option to include completed tasks “since my last update” rather than only having static timeframe options (1, 2, 3, or 4 weeks).
My use case:
As a Program Manager, I send project updates on varying schedules depending on the project cadence—some weekly, some bi-weekly, and others monthly. The current fixed timeframe options mean I either:
-
Miss completed tasks if my update cycle is longer than 4 weeks, or
-
Include duplicate tasks if I update more frequently than weekly
If there was a dynamic “since last update” option, it would automatically capture the right tasks regardless of my update frequency. This would save time, reduce manual filtering, and ensure stakeholders always see accurate progress without duplicates or gaps.
Current workaround:
I manually calculate the timeframe or review tasks individually to avoid showing duplicate work across updates.
