At the risk of becoming too cumbersome like Salesforce, what about the option for users (maybe Admins. only) to be able to customize the task pane layout so you are able to customize which fields show up, in particular orders based on certain criteria set by the admin.? This would be akin to page layout customization you can do in Salesforce with either their legacy page layout editor or their newer and better Lightning builder which is more dynamic and easier to build since it treats the page as an assembly of components.
