Create tasks from Google Calendar

Our set up

  • Asana Project tasks and management
  • Clockify Time Tracking
  • Google Calendar for meeting invites and blocking out time

It would be very helpful if I could create Events in Google Calendar and it adds a task in Asana.

  • Event Name: Task Title
  • Event Description: Task Description
  • Date and length: Task Date and time tracked
  • Event Organiser: Parent task created and assigned To
  • Event Attendees: Subtasks created for all Attendees

This is currently what Clockify does, but if Asana can achieve this then we’d be able to remove one tool which would be super helpful.

This would be a great feature. It would also be nice if one could add a trigger to the google calendar event, such as adding the word asana or event or other trigger word to the google event and then only those events with a key word would be sent to the asana project. This would prevent add events that don’t need to be an asana task.
