Back referencing/linking when a task is referenced in other tasks

I would really love to be able to link tasks in a similar way as in Airtable - where I can link records /tasks and they show up in very obvious boxes so I can easily see where I might have also repurposed content across my social media platforms (not just a text link that I could easily overlook).

Here I can attach, for example, a post from Instagram, that relates to a blog post - so I can quickly see that information has been utilized in more than one place as Repurposed Content.

Having the ability to link tasks in this way in an Asana would be very helpful when building out something like a content management system in Asana or needing to cross-reference tasks/resources.

Is there an update on this at all? Please see my post ^^ regarding how it would be useful (I reference Airtable with an attachment). I can’t find the existing thread you are referring to and I would really like to upvote it  Thank you!

I am in full agreement here as well. Notion - Relations & Rollups has this feature which makes it really useful to link tasks with other tasks. For example I can link a task that represents an issue with a task that represents a meeting where said meeting was discussed. Or I can connect a Project of clients with the meetings they attended.

Hi everyone,

Today I’m excited to share that connected work links are coming soon to the Asana web, desktop, and mobile apps. With this update, you can see when a user has referenced a task, status update, message, or goal in other tasks in Asana :tada: Learn more about this new feature in our announcement below:

Please note, we are gradually rolling out this update. If it’s not available for you yet, it will be available in the next two weeks!
