The client portal timeline view currently colors tasks based on the project color—or at least so far as I can tell.
This is a timeline view that is missing many of the same features timeline views have in other areas of the product. One of them is the ability to set the Color tasks by field in the Layout options.
e.g. we would prefer to set the task color to inherit from a custom field we use to mirror the color options that our custom task type statuses use (since we still can’t color tasks in the timeline, Gantt, reports, or Calendar by custom task type status option color).
Please add this so the Client portal has better feature parity and consistency throughout the product.
