The recent introduction of Status update templates (as seen in several customer spaces so far) are great. It would be even better if they could also be added to Project Templates so they are added to new projects.

I am enjoying the Templates for project status updates.
One detail I noticed is that the the status update templates are linked within Projects, but not within Project Templates.
There are a few options to Customize Project Templates, such as Rules and Fields; however, Status Updates do not appear there.
This is a request to add Project Status Templates to Project Templates in the Customization area.

I’m really confused because it appears that, within the interface, it’s possible to link a status update template to project template. It gives me a readout that says “Used in 0 project templates and bundles” next to a recently created status update template. But I’ve not been able to find anywhere to actually link/use a status update template in a project template.
Is this possible currently or not? If it’s not, could someone from the Asana team comment on why this metric is showing up?
We are loving the new Status Update feature! There are some “fast follows” that I hope are coming and I would like to get on the radar and the input of others.
Currently, you cannot put status updates in a project template. It’s great that you can template the status template as a stand along which is accessible in the Workflow Library, but kind of bizarre to not be able to put it in a project template. Would love to be able to put these in project templates!

Definitely beneficial for this to be completed. Really important for consistency that the status template is added to new projects created from our templates (which is much easier if it is defaulted from the project template).
This would save time by removing the need to manually recreate the same status update structure for every new project
This is a great idea as currently we have to do this manually every time we create a project from our templates.
