Yes please! My team has a few single select fields with long lists (150+) of options that need to be added to every few months.
Just had a stakeholder reach out today that they couldn’t find their name on a form using one of these fields (list of reps), when in fact it was already in the list; it was just added at the bottom and waiting for someone to manually drag it into its alphabetical position, where the user expects to find it.

Adding my name to the list. Some of our teams have custom fields with 50-100 entries, and new ones getting added frequently. The ability to click a single button to alphabetize the field options instead of forcing users to drag and drop these options to reorder them manually. Would also work great for CSV imports where field options aren’t ordered from the jump and I want to clean up my data after import.

I’m honestly surprised this doesn’t exist yet. I have a list of items in a custom “project” field. As projects get added, which of course they do, I have to either sing the alphabet song or plop them at the bottom. As a user, this is annoying

Please please please make this available! Or at least allow to search for a field within the project customization sidebar? It’s so difficult to find them when they aren’t alphabetical!

Really need this. We add new values all the time to a certain field and it’s extremely tedious to update manually.

This makes a lot of sense and I feel this pain too! I’m promoting this request with the new PM who owns custom fields. As always, we appreciate the feedback!

I would just add that this would be great, not only upon field creation, but at any point post-creation for a Field Admin or Field Editor to be able to sort the Options alphabetically A->Z or Z->A.
This would be especially useful when also using the CSV importer, to be able to sort the generated field options into the appropriate order, after the import is complete.

I created a Chrome extension that can sort custom fields alphabetically.
Please give it a try until the feature hopefully comes in Asana 
It supports four functionalities:
- Sort options lphabetically
- Bulk-recolor
- Find & replace text
- Bulk-add options with a selected color

One minor comment; any chance you can have the ‘Workspace’ dropdown list the spaces alphabetically, since there is no search box? (I’m in over 100 workspaces) But I’m thinking I would not be able to use this tool in most of those spaces anyway, since I’m a Guest, so not a big deal I suppose!

Just voted for this as we have an increasing amount of IPGs and Factories I have had to sort manually and place into alphabetical order as they are added
