A rule trigger based on time/duration, but not due date

Just discovered this is not (yet?) possible… Any ideas on how to automatically archive old tasks by moving them into another project after a while?

It would be very nice to have such a feature :raising_hand_man:t2:

+1 thi feature would be super helpful

+1
we need it as well for several workflows

How is this not a thing yet?

@Asana_Marketing is this a thing yet? It appears as if years ago customers were asking and our company needs this too!

+1 for this feature, would love to be able to trigger rules with a timer.

Here’s a low level use case:

  1. A task added to a section triggers moving the task to another project.
  2. To allow the user to add relevant information, the trigger is delayed by 10 minutes.
  3. The task moves to another project after 10 minutes, with all relevant information filled out.

+1 for this feature as well. Would love to set a rule to move completed tasks from the completed section into an archive section after X amount of days completed.

Yes pleeeaaase! In my case, I would like to set a rule to automatically move tasks from a “New Ideas” column to an “Archive” column after 30 days.

Code implementation for anyone interested:
