improve modification of custom fields in list view using keyboard

To me, Excel holds the gold standard when it comes to keyboard navigation.

Now I get that Asana is a different tool, but at the moment I don’t seem to be able to do this using keyboard only:

  • fill in value for reference field
  • move to the same task below to fill in that reference field

I also don’t understand why I need to hit enter before typing is registered as searching a value for the selected field x task intersection.

Going through a list and updating all of the values in one column is something I feel I should be able to do with minimum keystrokes, and without using the mouse.

@Jan-Rienk this is very top of mind for me! The mental model for getting work done in Asana is 100% different than a spreadsheet native user, but addressing this is already an initiative I’ve started. So keep the use cases coming!
