New Reference fields are great but they currently:
We are currently using a ‘hack’ to link goals to projects and tasks by using multiple types of custom fields. the ability to sort or group by those custom fields would be immensely helpful. I can also see a myriad of other ways this could help with views and reporting, so is there also a topic of ability to create widgets in the dashboards based on custom fields?
Hi @Fritz_Boyle_PDX ,
Do you mean reference fields? I don’t think so, but you could always search to check if a thread already exists. Otherwise, please create a new thread in English Forum > Product Feedback
Thanks!
This would make reference fields much more powerful and enable them to replace several select custom fields we currently use.
Hi everyone,
It is now possible to group and sort tasks by Reference Custom Fields in project and portfolio aggregate views, making it easier to see related work at a glance. This update is live for users in non-FEDRAMP domains, with no admin opt-in required.
This release supports grouping and sorting. Filtering by Reference Custom Fields isn’t included yet, and there’s no ETA to share at the moment.
@Reuben_Baker, if it’s okay with you, I can edit the title of your topic to “Filter a project by Reference Custom Fields” and leave it open for voting until filtering becomes available. ![]()
