It’s too easy to accidentally mark as completed a task, especially for a newbie in the team.
You should have a pop up to ask confirmation: “Confirm the task as completed?”. You could let people decide whether to turn the feature on or off.

Good idea. Even as an “old” user, I constantly have to stop myself from clicking the check mark at the top of the right pane to close the pane.
We need this badly. We have a couple staff members who are notorious for “accidentally” completing tasks. I would love to see a confirmation box asking “Are you sure?” before a task is marked complete. What would be even better is a specific permission for completing a task.
+1 from us too… This happens to us all the time. We’re big hotkey users and an accidental “cmd + enter” without realizing that MacOS is targeting Chrome not whatever Adobe software we’re using is a real problem.
It’s currently quite easy to accidentally mark a task as complete, Adding a short confirmation step before closing a task would help prevent unintended completions and improve overall user experience (this is both for desktop amb mobile app).
Best regards!

As a temporary workaround, we recommend using custom fields and rules to double-check completion procedures for specific projects.
Another workaround is to use Custom Task Types; it’s not a full “are you sure” prompt, but you can’t just single-click to complete a task by accident. When you click on the task icon, it opens up the list of options, and then you have to select one.
I believe that is an excellent idea
