Enable new projects created within a portfolio to automatically inherit that portfolio’s rules, instead of requiring the project to be created elsewhere and then moved into the portfolio.

I’ve set up several rules that are triggered when a project is moved into a portfolio. However, team members are creating projects directly within the portfolio instead of moving them in, so those rules are not being triggered. I’d like projects created within the portfolio to automatically run the same rules.

Hi @Kilei_Nelson As of now we don’t have functionality of triggering the rule when project is created within the portfolio.

Can you help me with what are automations that you are trying to perform maybe we can find some workaround

This rule runs as expected both for when you add work to a portfolio by creating a new project from the portfolio, and when adding an existing project:

So maybe you can describe what you’re doing because I think it should be working for you as my test succeeded.
