Hi, I was exploring ways to redirect directly to a specific ticket via a custom ID without calling an API and came across an experiment named custom_id_shortcut_urls.
Could you clarify how this feature is intended to be used?

Hi @Kaffi_Yang Welcome to the community!
The custom_id_shortcut_urls experiment is an internal Asana feature that aims to link directly to a task using a custom ID instead of the regular task URL. This flag is part of internal experimentation and isn’t publicly documented or supported at this time. There isn’t a native shortcut URL that resolves a task by a custom field today. For now, the standard method is to use the task’s regular URL, though you could mimic this behavior with a script or workflow that maps custom IDs to task links. If this feature becomes available, it will be announced in Product Updates on the Asana Forum.
Hi @Kaffi_Yang,
FYI you could also accomplish this using the Short Link feature of our Flowsana integration.
Thanks for clarifying @Iren_Vilaniso
