It would be nice to be able to change the default dependency management option organization-wide, or for teams, or other scales above each project. We want to use “maintain buffer” pretty much all the time & it would be nice to not have to change this manually on each project.
@Brian_Fewell - agree 100%. In the meantime, if you use project templates, if you create a project from the template, change the dependency option, and then save that as a new template, it will actually preserve that choice for all iterations of the new template.

Hey @Stephen_Li - I actually ran into this recently and, unfortunately, I found that this only works if a new project is created directly from the template. If you convert a task to a project using that template, it doesn’t save this setting, which is such a bummer, as that’s the way most of our projects are being created. I thought it was a bug, but Asana said it was intended functionality.
@Jess_deCsesznak - ah didn’t realize that (our org manually converts), that’s a shame. Thanks for updating and let’s hope they address this in the near future
