Bug: Search completed tasks using "between" not possible in project view

When filtering a task list view in a project, we are given the option to filter by completed tasks. One of the options for searching by completed tasks is to filter for tasks completed “between” a given range.

This functionality is missing from the projects list view. Advanced search has this capability, but oddly when in a specific project and using the completed task filter we can’t actually provide “between” dates, despite the option of between being provided.

In a project, you can select to view tasks “Completed on” and select “between”.

When trying to set the “between” dates, we are not given a date select option here. We only have “Today”, “Yesterday”, “This Week”, etc. There is no option to choose a start and end date for the “between” dates.

An Advanced Search is able to perform this action, but the initial project view’s filter options should work the same way, and are presented to work in the same way, as advanced search here.

Hi Asana community!

Circling back to this bug report. Asana appears to have removed the Completed on date range functionality in project views.

We no longer have a “between” option when creating a search within a project.

Instead, we only have the Advanced Search to get a Date Range of tasks completed in a certain time frame.

While having the option for a date range within projects and within the advanced search would be ideal, at least now there is no more confusion. Just only 1 option to search for a date range of completed tasks.
