  • (Personal) Unified toolbar: Use a consistent toolbar across all surfaces in Asana.

  • (Personal) Updated Google Drive attachment filepicker: Attach a Google Drive file in Asana by pasting a link or typing in the title.
  • (Personal) New OAuth flow for Google Drive in Asana desktop app: Easily authenticate the Google Drive integration on desktop.
  • (Starter) Custom task types and statuses: Define custom task types to better suit your workflows, enabling you to streamline processes and improve reporting.
  • (Starter) Custom team icons: Customize how your team’s name appears by choosing a color or a custom icon.
  • (Starter) Deeplinks for rules: Access rules directly through the browser from its own unique URL.
  • (Starter) “Otherwise” branch in rules: Add an “otherwise” branch to a rule if none of the other conditions are met.
  • (Starter) Dependency fields in Gantt view: Visualize cross-project dependencies with dependency fields.
  • (Starter) Text widgets in dashboards: Add content and clarity to dashboards with customizable text widgets.
  • (Starter) AI Studio usage data in the admin console: View AI Studio usage data via the admin console to determine how AI Studio is being used in your organization.
  • (Advanced) “Add portfolio” in portfolio drop down menu: Add a parent portfolio to a currently opened portfolio from the drop-down menu.
  • (Advanced) Project roles in capacity planning: See someone’s project role next to their display name within a capacity plan.
  • (Advanced) Team sharing on portfolios: Speed up collaboration by sharing portfolios across a team.
  • (Enterprise) Salesforce in Asana rules: Automate workflows between Salesforce and Asana to keep the latest data in sync.
  • (Enterprise) Improved company logo upload: Upload both light and dark mode logos, and preview what uploaded logos looks like on multiple surfaces.
  • (Enterprise) Restrictions in project templates: Secure sensitive data with multihoming and edit restrictions in project templates.
  • (Enterprise) API support for custom field permissions: Set custom field access levels and visibility setting via the API.
  • (Enterprise+) Sandbox self serve: Independently manage your Sandbox environment from the admin console.

Does anyone have tips for using custom task types/statuses vs. custom fields?

Hey @Rocky_5 . As much as I find them visually pleasing and a really useful feature, I’m still holding back from fully adopting them org-wide until my request is met:

For now this feature works great for ‘self-contained’ projects.
Just my 2 cents.
